Greg Muir has over 25 years of patent experience, including Chief Patent Counsel and Vice President of Intellectual Property at Reflectivity, Inc., and Chief Patent Counsel for GuideOptices, Inc. At Reflectivity, Greg established and ran their intellectual property department, overseeing the company’s trademark and U.S., foreign and PCT patent filings. He also led Reflectivity’s patent portfolio management strategies and was responsible for counseling management regarding possible infringement and assertion of the portfolio. Through his seven-year tenure at Reflectivity, Greg managed the preparation, filing and prosecution of over 200 MEMs (micro electromechanical) patent applications, a key component to the successful purchase of Reflectivity by Texas Instruments in 2007.
Greg’s previous experience includes Chief Patent Counsel for GuideOptics and patent counsel for Akzo Nobel Pharma which gave him a strong background in patent portfolio management and strategic patent prosecution to support portfolio development. Greg also worked at several Washington D.C. area law firms as a patent attorney and was a former Patent Examiner.
